More about this book
Story
After surviving the previous Games, Katniss is pulled into the heart of a hidden rebellion and asked to serve as its symbol, the Mockingjay. She must navigate District 13, public propaganda, and the political demands of people who keep trying to use her for a cause she never asked to lead.
As the war against the Capitol escalates, Katniss is forced to confront captivity, brainwashing, media manipulation, and the brutal cost of rebellion. Much of the story follows her through grief, confusion, and shifting loyalties while others move the larger conflict around her.
The final stretch turns into a fast, devastating push toward the Capitol and a conclusion shaped by loss, hard choices, and moral ambiguity. The book ends with a quieter aftermath and an epilogue that reflects survival, trauma, and a fragile kind of hope.
