More about this book

Story

Thomas wakes up near the end of a brutal experiment with missing memories, a deadly virus threat, and an organization insisting the trials were necessary. He and the surviving Gladers are pulled into a final round of escape, pursuit, and impossible choices as they try to stay alive long enough to learn what is really happening.

As the group moves through ruined cities, safe zones, and hostile territory, alliances shift, old friends reappear, and some characters push Thomas toward answers while others keep him running. The story keeps the focus on survival, secrecy, and the pressure of deciding whether to trust the people claiming they can save the world.

The finale brings the chase back to where it began, forcing Thomas to confront what he remembers, what he refuses to know, and what the cost of the cure may be. The ending is bleak, emotional, and definitive in some ways while still leaving many readers feeling that key explanations remain unresolved.
