More about this book

Story

After escaping the Maze, Thomas and the Gladers believe they may finally be safe, but Phase Two begins almost immediately. They are sent into the Scorch, a devastated stretch of the world, with little help, few rules, and a deadline that makes survival itself the point of the trial.

As they travel through harsh terrain and encounter new groups and dangerous infected people, the Gladers must keep moving while trying to understand what WICKED wants from them. Loyalties shift, friendships are tested, and memories, clues, and appearances can’t always be trusted.

The journey becomes more dangerous and more confusing as the group is pushed toward a supposed safe haven. Along the way, new characters, betrayals, and revelations widen the mystery rather than resolve it, leaving Thomas and the others to decide who to trust and how much of the truth they can survive.
