More about this book
Story
In a future society divided into districts and ruled by a powerful Capitol, teenagers are selected for an annual televised fight to the death. A girl from the poorest district volunteers to take her sister’s place, stepping into a brutal arena where survival, strategy, and public image all matter.
Across the trilogy, her struggle expands beyond the Games themselves. What begins as one contestant’s fight for survival becomes entangled with political manipulation, propaganda, and a growing resistance against the Capitol’s control. Relationships, alliances, and the costs of violence become increasingly central as the conflict widens.
The final book shifts further into revolution and the aftermath of war. The story follows the protagonist as she is pulled between competing powers, personal trauma, and the symbolic role others want her to play, while the trilogy moves toward its political conclusion and the long shadow left by the Games.
