More about this book
Story
In a future shaped by past alien attacks and strict population control, Ender Wiggin is selected as a very young child for elite military training. Sent away from his family to a space-based Battle School, he is pushed into increasingly difficult games and simulations designed to reveal whether he can become humanity’s next great commander.
As Ender rises through the ranks, he must navigate bullying, isolation, and relentless pressure from adults who keep shaping the conditions around him. Meanwhile, his siblings remain on Earth, where their intelligence and ambitions pull them into a different kind of struggle involving politics, public opinion, and influence.
The story gradually turns on the question of what is real, what is training, and how far adults will go in the name of survival. Ender’s successes bring him closer to victory, but also closer to the cost of what he has been made to do and to understand.
