More about this book

Story

Artemis Fowl, a thirteen-year-old criminal mastermind, creates a powerful computer using stolen fairy technology and tries to leverage it in a business deal. The plan goes wrong when the device is stolen, putting both humans and the hidden fairy world at risk.

To recover what he lost, Artemis has to work with the fairy crew he usually exploits, along with his bodyguard Butler and other allies. The mission becomes a high-stakes break-in, with betrayals, injuries, reversals, and a race against a ruthless opponent.

As the crisis escalates, Artemis is pushed toward change: he has to face the consequences of his schemes, protect people he cares about, and accept help from the very world he has endangered. The ending leaves him altered in a way that sets up the next book.
