More about this book

Story

After a memory wipe leaves Artemis and Butler unable to recall the fairy world, Artemis slips back toward his criminal life just as an old enemy resurfaces. Opal Koboi has spent a year planning revenge and begins manipulating events from the shadows, framing others and putting both humans and fairies in danger.

Holly, Foaly, Mulch, and Butler are pulled back into the conflict as the fairy world and human world edge toward disaster. Artemis has to work with allies he no longer fully remembers, while Opal uses deception, false accusations, and increasingly dangerous schemes to stay ahead.

As the plot accelerates, the characters are forced into repeated escapes, reversals, and uneasy cooperation. The story builds toward a confrontation that changes relationships and consequences for the series, while also pushing Artemis toward a different understanding of himself and his place among his friends.
