More about this book

Story

Artemis Fowl receives word that his long-missing father is alive but being held for ransom in Russia. At the same time, the fairy authorities begin investigating a dangerous flow of human technology into goblin hands and suspect Artemis is involved.

As Artemis and his bodyguard try to reach his father, the fairy police pull him into their investigation. What begins as a confrontation becomes a reluctant bargain: Artemis will help uncover the real culprit if the fairies help rescue his father.

The search pulls both sides into the underground world, where a hidden conspiracy is turning chaos loose. Forced to work together, former enemies have to balance distrust, competing objectives, and escalating danger while the mystery and rescue race toward a collision.
