More about this book

Story

After the fallout of the previous volume, Darrow is imprisoned, broken, and trying to survive the aftermath of betrayal and torture. The rebellion is fractured, old loyalties are strained, and enemies on all sides remain deadly.

As Darrow returns to the fight, he and his comrades move through rescue efforts, shifting alliances, political maneuvering, and large-scale conflict. The story keeps escalating through confrontations, reversals, and revelations as the revolution pushes toward a decisive showdown.

The narrative focuses on whether Darrow can unite allies, inspire the oppressed, and help tear down the hierarchy that has controlled their world. It builds toward a hard-won, emotionally charged conclusion that resolves major threads while leaving space for what comes next.
