Steelheart

Ten years after Calamity changed the world, ordinary people began manifesting superpowers and most became brutal rulers called Epics. Cities fell under their control, and a resistance group known as the Reckoners formed to study Epic weaknesses and assassinate them.

David, who saw Steelheart kill his father and once witnessed Steelheart bleed, spends years researching Epics and seeking a way to join the Reckoners. He believes that his knowledge of Steelheart’s weakness can help bring down the invincible tyrant who rules his city.

As David gets pulled into the Reckoners’ covert missions, the story becomes a mix of planning, infiltration, and violent confrontations. The team works to uncover weaknesses, survive powerful enemies, and move toward a final confrontation that reshapes what David thought he knew about the Epics and his own mission.
