Clockwork
A lazy apprentice and a storyteller’s unfinished tale collide in a dark, clockwork fairy tale.

The Story
In a wintery German town, Karl, an apprentice clockmaker, faces a deadline he has not prepared for: he must present a new figure for the town clock. Meanwhile, Fritz, a local storyteller, gathers townspeople in a tavern and begins a tale he has not fully finished planning.
As Fritz tells his story, the boundaries between the tale and the tavern begin to blur. Figures and events from the story intrude into the present, bringing suspense, fear, and uncertainty as Karl and the others are pulled into the consequences of unfinished stories and bad choices.
The threads eventually converge around clockwork, fate, responsibility, and what people do when they try to escape failure too quickly. The story builds toward a resolution that ties together the nested narratives, with a strong emphasis on consequences, moral choice, and the power of storytelling.
