More about this book
Story
Nine years after Paul Muad'Dib disappears into the desert, his twins Leto and Ghanima are growing up under the shadow of his legacy. They possess extraordinary abilities and ancestral memories, and their existence becomes central to rival plans for control of the empire.
On Arrakis, regent Alia struggles to hold power while facing rebellion, political maneuvering, and the return of key figures from the past. A mysterious blind Preacher denounces the established religion, while factions including House Corrino and the Bene Gesserit pursue their own agendas.
As Arrakis changes ecologically and the balance of power shifts, the twins must confront visions of their future and the cost of maintaining or overturning the system around them. The story moves through schemes, revelations, and ideological conflict toward a larger destiny for the Atreides line and the wider human future.
