More about this book

Story

Murderbot returns with evidence against GrayCris and heads back toward the people connected to its first mission. It wants to help Dr. Mensah, the human who treated it with respect, but doing so means stepping back into danger, surveillance, and corporate hostility.

When Mensah is taken by GrayCris, Murderbot is forced into a rescue mission that brings it back into contact with the original human team. It must navigate station security, hostile authorities, and the problem of being a rogue SecUnit everyone wants to capture or kill.

As the mission unfolds, Murderbot has to balance combat, hacking, and its increasingly complicated feelings about loyalty, responsibility, and personhood. The story moves toward a resolution that closes this arc while leaving room for what comes next.
