Story
The first issue opens on the death of a masked hero and quickly turns into an investigation. A retired vigilante begins tracing the killing, convinced it may be part of a larger pattern targeting former heroes.
As the search widens, the story introduces other ex-heroes and the uneasy world they inhabit: some are retired, some still work with the government, and some operate outside the law. The issue also weaves in documents and background material that deepen the setting and the characters’ history.
The narrative builds a bleak, politically charged atmosphere around costumed heroism, raising questions about power, morality, and what it means to watch over a broken world. It ends by expanding the mystery rather than resolving it.
