The Host

Earth has been quietly taken over by alien “Souls” who inhabit human bodies and live among the remaining humans. Wanderer, a Soul with many past lives, is placed into the body of Melanie, a fierce human who refuses to disappear.

As Wanderer and Melanie battle for control of the same body, Melanie’s memories and feelings keep pulling Wanderer toward Melanie’s hidden family and the man Melanie loves. The two reluctant cohabitants become allies as they navigate human resistance, alien oversight, and the strange intimacy of sharing one mind.

Their search becomes a journey of survival, trust, and emotional entanglement. The story follows their efforts to protect the people they care about while deciding what kind of future is possible for humans and Souls alike.
