More about this book

The Story

The Animorphs are sent to stop a Yeerk scheme centered on a powerful underwater ship and the hidden Pemalite technology it seeks. Their mission pushes them into the ocean depths, where they use new deep-sea morphs and face a dangerous chase through unfamiliar terrain.

What begins as a sabotage operation becomes stranger when they discover a secret underwater civilization. The group is drawn into a bizarre and threatening world of amphibious beings, shipwrecks, preserved relics, and unsettling treatment of captured humans.

As the mission escalates, Jake has to keep the team moving through increasingly brutal encounters while they try to destroy the ship and escape. The book ends with the mission unresolved only in the sense that the wider war continues, while the undersea world remains a disturbing and self-contained detour.
