The Reaction
When Rachel develops a dangerous morphing allergy, the Animorphs must contain her chaos while stopping a teen star Yeerk scheme.

The Story
Rachel saves a child at a crocodile exhibit and acquires the animal’s DNA, but the morph goes wrong in a new way: she starts losing control of what she turns into and when. The problem is frightening, embarrassing, and dangerous, especially because she tries to hide it from the others instead of slowing down.
At the same time, the Yeerks are targeting a popular teen celebrity as a recruitment tool for The Sharing, hoping his appeal will lure more kids in. The Animorphs have to track the plan, stay hidden, and figure out what Rachel’s morphing issue means before she exposes the whole team.
As Rachel’s condition worsens, the book turns into a scramble of damaged trust, public near-misses, and escalating body-horror chaos. The group has to manage both the mission and Rachel’s secret before her out-of-control morphing becomes impossible to conceal.
