The Andalite Chronicles

Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul, an Andalite warrior-prince, tells the story of how he became the alien whose actions shaped the events that follow in the wider series. The book follows him from youth as an aristh through a mission that pulls him into conflict, contact with humans, and the dangerous politics of interstellar war.

As the mission expands, Elfangor and his companions are drawn through alien worlds, military duty, and escalating catastrophe. The story shifts between perspectives and threads together combat, pursuit, betrayals, and encounters with powerful technology, while revealing more of Andalite society, rival forces, and the larger war around them.

The narrative builds toward choices that reshape multiple lives and connect back to the series’ opening. Along the way it uncovers relationships, origins, and consequences that were previously hidden, while framing the story as Elfangor’s final recorded account.
