Barbarian Lover

Kira is one of the stranded human women trying to build a life on an ice planet. She has a painful translator implant in her ear, a secret about her body, and growing feelings for Aehako, the cheerful alien who wants to court her even though they have not resonated.

As Kira tries to keep Aehako at a distance, she also learns that the aliens who abducted the women may be coming back and can track her through the translator. The threat forces her to face her fears, her place in the tribe, and whether she can trust anyone with the truth.

The story follows their courtship alongside rising danger, a journey to deal with Kira’s implant, and growing pressure from the returning aliens. Their relationship moves from hesitation and hurt to devotion and protection, with the external conflict eventually pushing Kira into action.
