Barbarian Alien

The story follows Liz, one of several stranded human women on a brutal alien ice planet, after the group is given symbionts that let them survive there. Liz’s symbiont insists she is matched to Raahosh, a large, scarred, surly alien hunter who has been waiting his whole life for a mate.

Liz does not accept the bond easily. She clashes constantly with Raahosh, who is protective, possessive, and determined to keep her safe and close. Their separation from the tribe, their physical vulnerability, and their inability to communicate perfectly create a lot of tension, banter, and misunderstanding as they are forced to spend time alone.

As the relationship develops, Liz and Raahosh have to navigate trust, control, and the expectations of the wider group. The book stays centered on their mating arc, survival on the planet, and whether Liz will choose to accept the bond and the future Raahosh wants with her.
