More about this book

Story

Ged, a talented boy from a small island, is drawn into the study of magic and sent to train under mentors who recognize his gifts. As he learns more about wizardry, names, and power, his pride and impatience lead him into dangerous choices.

A spell goes wrong and releases a shadow tied to Ged himself, turning his life into a long pursuit across an archipelago of islands and seas. Along the way, he encounters mentors, rivals, friends, dragons, and the consequences of using power without wisdom.

The story follows Ged’s growth from reckless apprentice to mature wizard as he learns to face what he has unleashed and understand himself more fully. Its narrative emphasis is on testing, consequence, and restoring balance rather than on large-scale battle or action spectacle.
