More about this book

Story

Carl and Princess Donut move into the fourth floor of the dungeon, where the challenge shifts into a sprawling underground railway system. The level is packed with trains, stations, tunnels, monsters, and rules that are difficult to map, while the crawl’s public attention and bounty system make the stakes even higher.

With new allies joining the party and old ones sometimes absent, Carl is pushed to act more like a leader while the group navigates danger, shifting alliances, and whatever useful information can be drawn from a mysterious cookbook. The floor’s puzzle-like structure shapes the action, but much of the story still follows the series’ usual mix of combat, upgrades, rewards, and escalating mayhem.

As the crawl deepens, the book leans harder into character growth, trust, and the larger forces behind the game. The subway maze gradually gives way to broader implications about the dungeon and the people trapped inside it, while the party’s bonds, loyalties, and choices become more central to what happens next.
