More about this book

Story

Humanity survives underground on a hostile world under constant attack by alien starfighters. Spensa, a teenage outcast branded by her father’s reputation, is determined to become a pilot and prove herself despite social stigma and harsh barriers.

When she discovers the wreckage of an ancient ship, Spensa’s path opens into flight school, dangerous training, and uneasy alliances. As she learns to fly and fights for a place among the cadets, the story mixes combat, mystery, and growing team dynamics.

The deeper Spensa gets into the war and the secrets around her family, the more the truth about her world begins to shift. The book builds toward bigger revelations, high-stakes battles, and a cliffhanger-style ending that sets up the series.
