Five years after the events of the first book, Victor is alive again but badly changed, and he, Mitch, and Sydney are trying to survive the consequences of her resurrection. Victor searches for a cure for his worsening condition while old enemies and new powers keep pulling everyone toward another collision.

At the same time, Eli is trapped in a different kind of captivity, new women with dangerous abilities emerge, and multiple agendas begin to intersect. The story moves back and forth through time, revealing backstory, shifting motives, and the ways past injuries shaped everyone involved.

As rivalries tighten and alliances form and break, the city becomes the stage for a larger reckoning. The narrative builds toward a confrontation where revenge, control, and survival all come to a head, leaving room for further consequences afterward.
