Blood Over Bright Haven

In the industrial city of Tiran, magic powers modern life while also hiding a terrible cost. Sciona, determined to become the first woman admitted to the High Magistry, finally reaches the top of the academic hierarchy only to find herself undermined, isolated, and given a janitor as her assistant.

That assistant, Thomil, is an outsider from beyond Tiran’s barrier and has his own reasons for serving a highmage. As the two work together, they begin to uncover the true source of Tiran’s magic and the deeper structures of power, prejudice, and exploitation holding the city together.

Their uneasy partnership turns into a search for truth that forces both of them to confront what they believe about morality, privilege, and survival. The discoveries they make threaten not just their futures, but the foundations of the society they live in.
