More about this book

Story

After the events of the previous book, Kat and Daemon are dealing with a strange bond created when he healed her. Daemon wants to prove his feelings are real, but Kat keeps pulling away because she fears the bond is driving everything between them.

While Kat tries to make sense of new abilities and a body that is changing, a new boy at school enters the picture and seems to understand what she is going through. At the same time, the Department of Defense becomes a growing threat, and the aliens in town are under increasing pressure.

As secrets pile up, Kat and Daemon are forced to question who they can trust, what happened in the past, and what the bond really means. The story moves toward bigger revelations, deeper danger, and a tense ending that leaves the next step unresolved.
