The Story

In the wake of a major crisis, the DC Universe spends a “missing year” without its biggest heroes while multiple storylines unfold in weekly installments. Different characters struggle to fill the vacuum, deal with shifting power structures, and navigate consequences spreading across the world and beyond.

This final volume gathers the closing stretch of those interwoven arcs, pushing several major threads toward resolution at once. Readers follow overlapping conclusions involving hero identities, family fallout, science-driven schemes, cosmic detours, and escalating conflict that builds toward an endgame involving wider-scale upheaval.

The volume ends by tying up many of the series’ individual character arcs while also moving into a larger finale that redefines the status quo again. It emphasizes the series’ mix of street-level drama, superhero spectacle, and continuity-heavy payoff, with creator commentary and extra material surrounding the chapters.
