The Story
Edward Hyde is trapped in Dr. Jekyll’s cabinet, waiting for the end while trying to reconstruct how his strange life unfolded. As he looks back over the final days and earlier memories, the novel revisits the classic tale from inside Hyde’s consciousness.
The story follows Hyde’s movements through Victorian London and into Jekyll’s private world, where experiments, hidden desires, and social hypocrisy shape what happens next. Flashbacks fill in Jekyll’s past, the origins of Hyde, and the tensions between the two identities that share one body.
As events tighten toward capture and collapse, the narrative questions who is responsible for the crimes attributed to Hyde and whether there may be another force at work. The book builds toward an inevitable confrontation while trying to explain the darker psychological logic behind the original mystery.
