More about this book

The Story

In Victorian London, Dr. Henry Jekyll creates a society where outcast scientists can work in relative safety and respectability. But the public is hostile, monsters and “mad science” are feared, and Jekyll must keep his own hidden complications from surfacing.

As new scientists, familiar literary figures, and other unusual arrivals join the group, the society becomes harder to manage. Jekyll tries to hold the community together, protect its reputation, and keep chaotic forces from derailing everything he has built.

Meanwhile, tensions rise between personalities, loyalties, and secrets inside the society. The volume builds toward a cliffhanger, with unresolved character threads, ongoing conflicts, and a sense that the next installment will deepen the hidden consequences already in motion.
