More about this book

Story

Hiro Protagonist lives in a near-future America where corporations, crime, and private enclaves have replaced ordinary civic life. By day he delivers pizzas and by night he moves through the Metaverse as a hacker and swordsman.

When a mysterious virus begins hitting hackers and spreading beyond the virtual world, Hiro teams up with Y.T., a daring teenage courier, to trace the source. Their search pulls them through corporate schemes, mob power, and competing theories about language, religion, and control.

As the mystery widens, the story shifts between real-world action and virtual-world danger. The chase becomes less about one virus than about the systems of belief, information, and power that shape both reality and the Metaverse.
