More about this book
Story
Meg Murry is an awkward, bright girl who feels out of place at school and at home, where her scientist father has been missing for years. One stormy night, strange visitors introduce her to a way of traveling through space and time that opens the door to a much larger danger.
With her little brother Charles Wallace and schoolmate Calvin, Meg is swept into an interstellar rescue mission. The children travel to strange worlds, meet eccentric guides, and learn that their father’s disappearance is tied to a struggle against a powerful darkness that threatens free will and individuality.
As the journey grows more dangerous, Meg is forced to confront fear, self-doubt, and the pressure to conform. The story builds toward a confrontation that asks her to rely on courage, love, and her own sense of self in order to keep going and bring someone home.
