More about this book

Story

Eadlyn, a young royal in line for the crown, is thrust into greater responsibility when family troubles force her to take on a leading role. At the same time, she continues a Selection-like courtship process with a narrowed group of suitors while trying to manage public opinion and the expectations placed on her.

As the competition continues, Eadlyn is pulled between duty, politics, and the possibility of real love. She spends more time confronting the needs of her people, the pressures of rulership, and the emotional reality of the relationships developing around her, while the Selection itself becomes less central than her growth into leadership.

The story builds toward Eadlyn’s final choice and a broader change in how the country is ruled. By the end, her decisions reshape both her personal future and the structure of the monarchy, closing out the series with a resolution focused on love, power, and responsibility.
