More about this book

Story

After the Wolves are defeated, Susannah is overtaken by Mia and taken through a magical door into another world and another time. Roland, Eddie, Jake, and Father Callahan split up to chase different goals: finding Susannah, protecting a vital rose-linked place, and staying ahead of forces trying to destroy their quest.

The novel follows several parallel tracks, with characters separated into different whens and wheres. Susannah’s struggle with Mia and the unborn child drives one thread, while Roland and Eddie travel elsewhere in search of answers and resources, and Jake and Callahan pursue their own path toward Susannah and the larger mission.

The book moves quickly but leaves many things unresolved, building toward the series finale. It also turns more openly meta, with Stephen King himself entering the story and the narrative reflecting on writing, creation, and the making of the series itself.
