More about this book

Story

Phileas Fogg makes a reckless wager that he can travel around the world in eighty days, then sets out immediately with his newly hired French valet, Passepartout. Their route carries them across multiple countries and modes of transport as they race the clock with exacting schedules and constant pressure.

As the journey unfolds, the pair are shadowed by Detective Fix, who wrongly suspects Fogg of a bank robbery. Along the way, they encounter delays, dangers, and a rescued woman who joins their travels, turning the trip into both a pursuit and an ongoing test of composure, loyalty, and ingenuity.

The story moves in short, rapid episodes, building toward a final twist that determines whether Fogg has truly lost or won. The ending ties together the wager, the chase, and the changing relationships formed during the journey.
