The Troop

Each year, a scoutmaster takes a small troop of boys on a camping trip to a remote island in the Canadian wilderness. The group expects a quiet weekend of hiking, bonfires, merit badges, and roughing it together.

When a starving stranger appears, the trip shifts into something far more dangerous. Whatever he carries spreads quickly, and the boys must face an escalating biological horror alongside fear, distrust, and worsening isolation.

As the situation deteriorates, the boys’ separate personalities and loyalties are tested under extreme pressure. The story follows their struggle to survive the island, the infection, and one another, while outside documents gradually fill in the larger picture.
