When You Reach Me

Miranda is a sixth grader in New York City whose ordinary routine changes when mysterious notes begin arriving. The messages seem to know details about her life before they happen, and they ask her to write down what is happening so a life can be saved.

As Miranda tries to understand the notes, she navigates school, friendships, her mother’s household, and the shifting loyalties of the kids around her. The story moves through everyday moments and small conflicts while a deeper puzzle slowly comes into focus.
