More about this book

The Story

In a far-future setting, a scientist and lecturer named Nadim begins experiencing strange dreams and signs that pull him toward an unexpected encounter with a red-haired woman he first saw in a dream. His life is already marked by intellectual conflict, marital strain, and a deep skepticism toward religion and metaphysical belief.

When Nadim is invited into an unusual experience called the “melaz,” he enters a layered journey that mixes scientific speculation, philosophical argument, and encounters with ideas of reincarnation, karma, and the struggle between belief and denial. The narrative moves through his private obsessions, public lectures, and the strange logic of a future society shaped by advanced technology.

As the story unfolds, the experiment begins to reveal connections between past lives, desire, identity, and the hidden structure of events around Nadim. The novel builds toward a conclusion that brings together its future setting, its spiritual arguments, and its central emotional and intellectual conflict.
