More about this book

The Story

In a near-future Egypt, society has split into two extremes: a sealed enclave of the rich and a ruined outside world of the poor. The divide is reinforced by walls, guards, violence, and deep social contempt, while the middle class has effectively disappeared.

The story follows a young man from the privileged side who is bored by endless comfort and seeks a new thrill beyond the walls. He enters the world of the poor as part of a predatory game, and the encounter pulls him into a harsher reality than he expected.

The narrative alternates between perspectives and moves toward escalating conflict between the two worlds. As the social tension builds, the book becomes a bleak warning about collapse, revenge, and what happens when a society normalizes dehumanization and silence.
