Dissent

Sal returns to Fort Landing with political backing and military authority, tasked with helping lead the war effort. She must face a base full of human hostility, ongoing prejudice against the Iliri, and resistance from those unwilling to give up power.

As Sal works to organize troops and uncover sabotage, the conflict remains both military and personal. Her relationships with her mates, pack, allies, and family continue to deepen while she struggles with grief, pressure, and the limits of her own mind.
