The Wizard's Dilemma
A teen wizard must confront her mother’s terminal illness when magic cannot easily save the person she loves most.

The Story
Nita and Kit, young wizards and longtime partners, are already strained by adolescent upheaval and a growing misunderstanding that pulls them onto separate paths. While Kit’s storyline follows strange magical developments with Ponch and new dimensions, Nita is forced to confront the limits of wizardry when her mother becomes gravely ill.
As Nita searches for any workable cure, she is drawn into complex magical learning around the “kernel” of worlds and into contact with the Lone Power, who offers a devastating bargain. The story builds around urgency, moral pressure, and the question of whether saving a life can be worth a soul, a calling, or a terrible cost.
The two threads move toward a high-stakes convergence that depends on reconciliation, choice, and what can and cannot be changed. Along the way, the book expands family dynamics, brings Kit’s point of view into the series, and mixes darker material with moments of humor, wonder, and companionship.
