The Story
The trilogy follows the Murray family across three connected adventures that mix time travel, space travel, and spiritual conflict. In the first book, Meg, her brother Charles Wallace, and friend Calvin search for Meg’s missing father and confront a force of darkness that threatens mind and world alike.
The second book shifts to a smaller, stranger mission: Meg, Calvin, and others must travel into Charles Wallace’s body to save him from a deadly illness while cosmic beings and the struggle over naming and identity unfold around them. The third book moves into time-leaping and historical change, with Charles Wallace taking the lead in an effort to avert catastrophe and alter dangerous possibilities.
Across the trilogy, the characters grow older and the narrative moves from personal family crisis to larger questions about fate, evil, love, science, and faith. The books repeatedly connect intimate relationships to vast cosmic stakes, using each adventure to test courage, loyalty, and belief in what cannot be seen.
