The Story

In near-future New York, Lieutenant Eve Dallas investigates a murder marked by a message meant for her. The killer claims to be Eve’s true friend, eliminating people they believe have wronged or disrespected her.

As more bodies appear, Eve and her team must piece together the pattern by revisiting past cases, old connections, and the growing web of people around her. The investigation turns personal when the killer begins circling Eve’s friends, coworkers, and spouse.

Eve has to track the obsessed killer before the need for approval curdles into direct danger for her and those she loves. The case pushes her to confront her public visibility, her support network, and how far her life has expanded from the isolated cop she once was.
