Numbers

This installment contains two separate romance stories set in the New Species world. In the first, a human widow visiting Homeland meets a grieving New Species male whose mate has died, and the two bond over shared loss and the possibility of starting over.

In the second story, a human woman raised in captivity returns to Homeland after years of separation from the New Species male she grew up with. Each believes the other is dead, and their reunion forces them to confront trauma, betrayal, and what was done to keep them apart.

Both stories center on emotional recovery, intense attraction, and relationships formed through pain and survival. The book leans on reunion, healing, and eventual happily-ever-after endings, with recurring support from Homeland and returning side characters.
