Switch

Tru Beck is a teenage girl living in a world where time has stopped, clocks no longer work, and people rely on artificial time. At school, teens are pressed to find solutions, while at home Tru’s father keeps building larger boxes around a mysterious switch.

As Tru navigates family turmoil, an absent mother, an unstable household, and an abusive sibling, she also discovers an astonishing gift for throwing the javelin. The strange changes around her home and body seem tied to the larger crisis around time, emotion, and connection.

The story follows Tru as she tries to make sense of her family, her school, and the world’s frozen condition. Its movement is more exploratory than linear, with surreal reveals, recurring symbols, and an emphasis on what people feel and refuse to say.
