Fairy Tale

Charlie Reade is a seventeen-year-old high school kid carrying the aftereffects of family tragedy. He becomes involved with a reclusive older neighbor, the man’s dog, and a locked shed that seems to hide something impossible.

After the neighbor dies, Charlie inherits the house and its secrets, including the truth that the shed leads to another world. What begins as caretaker duty turns into a longer journey through a realm shaped by fairy-tale logic, danger, and a struggle between good and evil.

Charlie’s trip into that world becomes tied to a desperate effort to help the dog he has grown to love. Along the way he confronts strange creatures, harsh rulers, and a fate larger than himself, while the story keeps returning to questions of loss, loyalty, courage, and responsibility.
