Story
On September 5, Mateo Torrez and Rufus Emeterio each receive a Death-Cast call telling them they will die today. In a world where people can be warned on their final day, they both search for a way to face it without being alone.
Using the Last Friend app, the two teens meet and spend the day together, moving through the city, making choices, and saying goodbye as their time runs out. Their day also intersects with the lives of other people whose own stories touch the same world.
As the hours pass, the story follows their changing bond, their fears, regrets, and attempts to live fully before the end. The narrative is about how they confront mortality, connect with others, and decide what matters most in one unforgettable day.
