More about this book

Story

Travis Cornell, a grieving ex-soldier, encounters a remarkably intelligent golden retriever while hiking and takes the dog home. The dog, soon named Einstein, is no ordinary stray, and Travis is drawn into a dangerous mystery tied to a secret government research project.

At the same time, Nora, a sheltered and abused woman trying to begin a new life, crosses paths with Travis and Einstein. As the three form bonds, they become targets of a hitman, government agents, and a monstrous escaped creature that wants the dog dead.

The story follows their attempts to protect Einstein, uncover what happened at the lab, and survive the escalating pursuit. As the hunt intensifies, the book blends suspense, romance, horror, and questions about science, morality, and the bond between humans and animals.
