More about this book

Story

Gwendolyn is now living with the consequences of discovering she has inherited a time-travel ability. She has to navigate training, secret organizations, family tension, and the rules of moving through history while still trying to function as a teenager.

As she and Gideon are sent into the past on increasingly important missions, Gwendolyn is pulled into aristocratic social events, dangerous secrets, and a larger conspiracy tied to the Circle and a prophecy. A new comic supernatural companion also becomes a major part of her daily life, helping her observe, spy, and cope.

At the same time, the relationship between Gwendolyn and Gideon grows more intense but also more confusing, with affection, distrust, and mixed signals all tangled together. The book builds toward revelations and a cliffhanger that pushes the larger mystery into the final volume.
