The Awakening

Ten years after a massive battle made all superhumans disappear, the world treats the event as a mysterious turning point and an annual memory. In the present, two teenage boys begin to show signs of extraordinary abilities, uncovering that their families are tied to the vanished generation of heroes.

As their powers emerge, the boys are drawn into kidnappings, secret schemes, and competing claims about what their abilities mean. Their paths split and cross as they try to understand who is helping them, who is deceiving them, and why some people are determined to stop the rise of new superhumans.

The story builds toward revelations about parents, impostors, and a prophecy that hangs over the boys' futures.
