Strange. Libro 1:

Mack and her best friend Nolan are at home when a blackout and strange noises in the yard lead them to a wounded, nearly silent young man named Ax. He is mysterious, unstable, and unwilling to involve the police, which only deepens the sense that something is off.

As Mack helps Ax, more odd events begin to happen around them. The story follows their attempt to understand who he is, what happened to him, and why he seems connected to larger secrets involving hidden experiments, unsettling creatures, and Mack's own past.

The narrative gradually shifts from a simple encounter into a larger mystery full of clues, reversals, and revelations. As the truth starts to surface, the characters are pushed into danger and the first book ends in a continuation setup that leaves major questions unresolved.
